The United Kingdom based Kiribati and Tuvalu Philatelic Society was established in 1983 and has over 100 members world-wide. Collectors interested in the stamps and postal history of the two countries are invited to join. The society publishes Ki-Tu News three times a year, which is a large informative journal with philatelic and general news about the islands. Mail auctions are also conducted.
The constitution of KTPS states that the Society encourages the collecting of stamps, postal history and research not only of Kiribati and Tuvalu, but also of the Gilbert and Ellice Islands and the Gilbert Islands.
