Tuvalu Helps Flooded Fiji February 12, 2009 Tuvalu has now joined the list of nations coming out to help Fiji in flood relief efforts. Their Prime Minister Apisai Ielemia yesterday presented a cheque of more then $12,000 to the Prime Ministers National Disaster, Relief and Rehabilitation Fund. In accepting the cheque Interim Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama thanked the PM and the people of Tuvalu for the timely assistance. About $2m has so far been raised in the PM’s Relief Fund. Source: Radio Fiji |
